BANGOR – The Bangor Historical Society invites guests to turn back the hands of time this holiday season and visit the Thomas A. Hill Historic House and Civil War Museum at 159 Union St.

The house is dressed for the holidays and features an authentic 1923 Maine beach house-style dollhouse in the exhibit room area.

The museum is open from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays through Friday, Dec. 22.

As a special holiday treat, the museum will offer evening tours from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 12 and 19.

For these tours only, the staff and volunteers will don historic costumes to welcome visitors and answer questions.

The cost for all tours is $5 for adults and is free for children and Bangor Historical Society members.
