BANGOR – Police on Wednesday launched an investigation into the death of a 21-year-old Ellsworth man found at a Broadway apartment.
Shawn P. Cox was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was found in a friend’s apartment shortly after midnight Wednesday, according to Detective Sgt. Ron Gastia of the Bangor Police Department.
Investigators do not suspect foul play. The cause of death is undetermined pending toxicology results, according to a spokeswoman for the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
Residents of the apartment at 327 Broadway tried to revive Cox with the help of emergency operators, but were unsuccessful, Gastia said.
