EAST MACHIAS – Jonesport-Beals used their full-court pressure to outscore Washington Academy 24-12 in the fourth quarter en route to an 80-77 schoolboy basketball win over the Raiders on Wednesday.
Alvin Beal paced Jonesport-Beals with a game-high 26 points. Jamie Alley scored 17 points, Shane Alley netted 13 and D.R. Alley added 11.
Bob Richardson led Washington Academy with 25 points. Nick Reynolds scored 14, Vinnie Emery had 13 and Steve Holmes chipped in with 10.
