WALDOBORO – A two-car crash at Kaler’s Corner caused minor injuries to several people on Tuesday, but no one required medical transportation, police Chief Leroy Jones said Wednesday.

Stephen T. Farnum, 51, of Waldoboro complained of a sore wrist. His wife Lynette, 45, and son Austin, 16, who were passengers in the 1989 Subaru station wagon, complained of minor chest pain from seat belts, Jones said. Farnums’ vehicle was traveling west on West Main Street when it turned left onto Route 32 toward Route 1. A 1989 Plymouth four-door sedan driven by Michael J. Ferrier, 18, of Waldoboro, which was headed east, failed to yield and pulled into the path of Farnum’s car, according to Jones.

Damage to Ferriers’ car was estimated at $3,000, to Farnums’, $3,500. Jones investigated the 3:40 p.m. accident in which no one was charged.
