BANGOR – Two subcommittees of the Special Committee on Opiate Addiction will meet today to discuss the location and possible delay in the opening of a methadone clinic planned for the city.

The two issues have become central in the debate surrounding the clinic, news of which has divided the community in recent months.

The location subcommittee will meet at 8:15 a.m. and the implementation committee will meet at 9 a.m. Both meetings will take place in the City Hall council chambers.

The full committee will next meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19.
