BIDDEFORD – Biddeford is one of only two communities in the country refusing to agree to Time Warner’s merger with America Online.

The city has an ongoing dispute with the cable TV company. They are continuing to hold out for improvements the company promised last year, including a second public access channel and money for new equipment.

Their refusal to transfer franchise agreements wasn’t enough to stop the merger, but Biddeford officials said they’ll continue to fight Time Warner.

AOL and Time Warner merged Thursday.
