LUBEC – Miranda Richardson’s three-pointer from the left side of the key as the buzzer sounded lifted the Lubec girls basketball team to a 39-37 win over East Grand Saturday in high school basketball action.
Amber Lavalley had grabbed a defensive rebound and passed it to Richardson, who dribbled up court before nailing the three-pointer.
Sara McConnell had a game-high 16 points for Lubec, which rallied from a six-point deficit in the third quarter. Richardson finished with nine points.
Chantel Parker’s 13 points and Tara Cropley’s 11 led the Lakers of Danforth.
