FREEPORT – A ceremony was held last week at the Harraseeket Inn to install Joseph Koch, president of Dragon Products Co., as chairman of the board of directors of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce. Koch replaces 1999-2000 board Chairman Peter Vigue, president of Cianbro Corp. of Pittsfield.
Also installed were: John Oliver, director of public affairs for L.L. Bean Inc., first vice chairman; David Flanagan, president and CEO of CMP Group Inc., second vice chairman; and Dan Hutchins, managing partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, treasurer of the board.
New board members are: Frank de Moes of The Chinet Co., John Donahue of Sappi, Kevin Hancock of Hancock Lumber, James Hiltner of Casella Waste Systems, Barry McCrum of Time Warner of Maine, Connie Russell of the Samoset Resort, Kathryn Underwood of KeyBank of Maine, Richard J. Warren of the Bangor Daily News and Charles Wilson of Hannaford Bros. Co.
The Maine State Chamber of Commerce represents nearly 1,300 businesses statewide. It advocates on behalf of their interests before the Legislature and regulatory agencies and through conferences, seminars and affiliated programs.
