Texas 135, Centenary 35

AUSTIN, Texas – Centenary didn’t expect to beat 16th-ranked Texas. But it didn’t expect to lose by 98 points, either.

“We could put together a schedule that doesn’t have these kind of games. If nothing else our players get to say they played in this arena against one of the best teams in the country. That’s worth something.”

As it was, the Longhorns (10-1) set three school records, tied two and became the nation’s first Division I basketball team, men or women, to reach 10 wins.
