AUGUSTA – The average statewide price of home heating oil dropped 4 cents a gallon over the past week and now stands at $1.52, the State Planning Office reported Tuesday.
The average price is 48 cents higher than at the same time last year, the agency said.
Prices around the state ranged from a high of a $1.60 to a low of $1.40.
Kerosene prices were also down, but propane – which is made from natural gas – was higher
