PARKMAN – Theodore Briggs, 45, of Parkman was arrested at his Lander Road home late Tuesday and charged with assault and criminal threatening.

State police and Piscataquis County sheriff’s deputies went to the home about 9 p.m., when a woman there reported she had been assaulted and was being threatened with a gun.

“When you’re responding to a situation like that you don’t know what you’re going to find,” Trooper Marc Poulin said Wednesday.

Briggs was arrested and taken to Piscataquis County Jail without incident, Poulin said. He was still in custody Wednesday night.
