ORONO – Children ages 17 and under accompanied by an adult will be admitted to Dec. 30’s University of Maine men’s basketball game against Sacred Heart In Orono for $1. Interested fans may purchase tickets this week by stopping by the Alfond Arena Athletic Ticket Office or by calling 581-BEAR or 1-800-756-TEAM. The ticket office will also open one hour prior to the 1 p.m. tipoff.

The Ticket Office will be closed Dec. 25-28. The ticket office will be open Dec. 29 9 a.m. to 12 noon to assist with further ticket demands associated with the children’s day price. The office will be closed Jan. 1.

UMaine also announced that a limited number of tickets for the Jan. 12-13 Boston University and Feb. 4 New Hampshire men’s ice hockey games will go on sale Jan. 2 when the ticket office opens at 8:30 a.m.

These tickets have normally been held for game-night sales to the general public. To better accommodate fans, these tickets will now be sold in advance beginning Jan. 2. Fans are reminded that game-day sales will continue as long as tickets are available. Contact the ticket office for more information.
