CARIBOU – Wesley Davidson, executive director of Aroostook Mental Health Center, announced the promotion of several employees.
Lorraine Chamberlain, L.C.S.W., has been promoted to the new position of director of emergency and outpatient services at AMHC. In her position, she manages crisis and office-based mental health and substance abuse services across AMHC at its multiple sites throughout Aroostook County. Chamberlain has been an employee of AMHC for more than 15 years and has served as an office director and counselor. She is a founder of AMHC’s attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder clinic. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Child Play Therapists. She obtained her master’s degree in social work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern College in St. Davids, Pa.
Dr. Dinah Tungol has been promoted to the new position of medical director at AMHC. She has been a staff psychiatrist with the agency since 1997. She will continue to provide direct service through the Presque Isle outpatient office and assess area service needs, develop community support for AMHC programs and services, and work toward refining policies, procedures and practices specific to clinical services. Tungol helped to implement the ADHD clinic. She served as chief resident and completed her general psychiatric residency training and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center and School of Medicine in New York City. Tungol is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been a member in good standing of the American Psychiatric Association since 1983.
Mary Bragdon White, L.C.S.W., has been promoted to director of community support services at AMHC. She will be responsible for development and implementation of program goals and objectives of the community support services provided through outpatient offices and specialized program service units of AMHC. Bragdon White served as manager of residential services for the Community Support Program and as an outpatient counselor. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Maine and her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
Kate Collicott has accepted the position of director of speech and language at AMHC. Her responsibilities will include the initiation, development, maintenance, evaluation and modification of the speech and language program. She will work in coordination with AMHC directors and managers to ensure program continuity and effectiveness. Before her new position, she was a speech and language pathology supervisor with the agency. Collicott has a master’s degree in communication disorders from UMaine in Orono. She is a licensed speech pathologist and is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Nicole Tremblay, L.M.S.W.-C.C., has been promoted to the position of specialty services manager. She will be responsible for planning and coordinating the clinical, administrative and facility maintenance aspects for AMHC’s mental health residential services program for children. Tremblay has been employed by the agency since 1997. Before assuming her new role, she was the manager of the Fort Fairfield Bridge Home and an outpatient counselor with AMHC. She holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Queen’s University of Kingston, Ontario. She has been part of AMHC’s retention and recruitment committee and serves as a member of the agency’s Team for Service Improvement Committee.
