NORTHPORT – Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish will bring their blues and roots music to the midcoast on Jan. 13 at the Blue Goose Dance Hall.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the band will play until midnight to benefit the Knox County Green Party.

This is the first in a series of dances to be held by the Greens, combining educational forums with fun in a smoke- and chemical-free family atmosphere.

The Knox Greens will spoof the upcoming presidential inauguration. Tickets are $15 a couple, $8 for singles and $5 for students and are available at Wild Rufus in Camden, Second Read in Rockland, Fertile Mind in Belfast, The Center General Store in Lincolnville and The Cricket in Union, as well as at the door.
