Hodgdon nips Fort Fairfield in double overtime

HODGDON – Lura Griffin, Jamie Nightingale, and Chelsea Wilson each scored three points in overtime Tuesday night as Hodgdon eked out a 56-53 double-overtime schoolgirl basketball victory over Fort Fairfield.

Griffin finished with 16 points, as did Dana Fitzpatrick.

Ashlie Churchill led Fort Fairfield with a game-high 26 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, as the Tigers rallied from 10 down to tie the Hawks.

Mick finished with 16 points, including a 6-for-6 effort from the free-throw line. Samantha Ross chipped in with nine points.

Andrea Blanchard led the Vikings with 20 points, six rebounds and five steals. Brittany Smith scored 12 points and Jessica Larrabee grabbed eight rebounds and had five steals.
