MELBOURNE, Fla. – Greg Barnes poured in 28 points to lead Florida Tech to an 80-71 men’s basketball victory over the University of Maine-Fort Kent Wednesday.

Steve Morgan and Dan Dreaden added 12 points each for the Panthers.

Shaun Tomblin scored 17 points and Tyrone Burns added 16 for the Bengals of UM-Fort Kent.

Sam Clark scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Colby while Kevin Crossman scored 15 and also had nine rebounds. Zeb Davis contributed 12 points.

At Newhall, Calif., Tuesday night, the Mustangs shot 52 percent from the floor for the game to turn back the Braves in the Master’s College Invitational.

Erin Buescher tallied 16 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Mustangs, who placed four players in double figures.

Jenifer Bennett added a dozen points, Tori Olson 11, and Lesley DuBois 10 plus five blocked shots.

Leslie Trott led the Braves with 10 points, Kelly Dow added nine, Liza Doughty eight, and Liz Boone had eight rebounds and two blocks.
