An editor’s note accompanying a Thursday story about Gov. Angus King’s proposed two-year state budget incorrectly stated that one of the planned cuts would affect the Cub Care program. While the governor proposed diverting $7 million from the Fund for a Healthy Maine, which includes the Cub Care program, the money is to come from funds earmarked for expansions in Head Start, Low-Cost Drugs for the Elderly, and Start Me Right programs, according to the Governor’s Office.
