Sam leads Caribou past Fort Kent

CARIBOU – James Sam scored a game-high 24 points and also grabbed nine rebounds and had four steals Thursday night to pace Caribou to a 66-60 schoolboy basketball victory over Fort Kent.

Joel Griffeth had 21 points and nine rebounds and Travis Beaulieu contributed 10 points.

Aaron Ouellette’s 15 points and 14 apiece from Kirk Levesque and Anthony Lamarre led Fort Kent.

Andy Frost, James’ younger brother, contributed 22 points and six assists and Joe Footer chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Footer had seven third-quarter points.

Brian Ripley’s 21 points and nine rebounds and Matt Corbin’s 18 points led Lee. Frank Severance tossed in 11 more.
