DOVER-FOXCROFT – The Southern Piscataquis County Chamber of Commerce and the Down East Sled Dog Club are sponsoring the first Southern Piscataquis Sled Dog race Feb. 10-11.
Chamber executive Dennis Lyford said the race will run from the Dover-Foxcroft Shopping Plaza to Sebec Lake and back. The two-day event will feature a series of sled dog races with a total prize pool of $1,500.
Even chairman Harry Anderson said he believes the race will be a major draw to the region. For more information, call 564-7533.
