BUCKSPORT – Beginning the week of Jan. 8, one lane of the Waldo-Hancock Bridge on Rte. 1 will be closed between approximately 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to allow the Maine Department of Transportation to conduct cable inspections.

Flaggers or traffic lights will be used to keep any traffic delays to a minimum. The cable inspection will continue until the end of January.

This inspection is part of the planned Waldo-Hancock Bridge renovation scheduled to begin in March 2002.
