FORT FAIRFIELD – Zach Cote notched two of his eight points with nine seconds left to give the Van Buren Crusaders to a 49-47 schoolboy basketball victory over the Fort Fairfield Tigers Friday night.

Eric Ayotte led the Crusaders with 12 points and Stacy Ayotte added 11.

Adam DeMerchant poured in 11 points to pace the Tiger attack and Aaron Kenneson netted eight.
