BANGOR – The district attorney for Kennebec and Somerset counties is suing Irving Oil Corp. of Bangor for allegedly improperly installing a home-heating system. David Crook, 54, claims the oil company installed a defective heating system in his home in 1995. He said the system leaked poisonous carbon dioxide fumes that harmed his family’s health.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Kennebec County Superior Court, asks for an undisclosed amount of money. Irving Oil’s lawyer did not comment on the lawsuit.
