Senior day care center opens in Hermon

HERMON – Apple Orchard Senior Day Center is a new adult day care facility serving Bangor and surrounding towns. Located on outer Union Street in Hermon, Apple Orchard Senior Day Center is about five miles from the airport and nestled in an old apple orchard.

Apple Orchard Senior Day Center provides supervision in a home atmosphere and facilitates socialization, reminiscing and participation in activities suited to individual needs and interests. Refreshments are provided.

To attend this program, participants must be 45-years-old or older, have a physical or cognitive need for supervision, be somewhat mobile, able to perform some daily living tasks and have a source of payment. Funding sources are available.

Apple Orchard is licensed by the state of Maine, and its staff members are licensed professionals. Hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information, call 848-3209.
