HAMPDEN – Justin DiFrederico scored 18 points Wednesday night to lead the Hampden Academy Broncos to a 59-54 Class A basketball overtime victory over his father’s previously unbeaten Nokomis.
Ben Keller went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in overtime en route to 11 points and five steals for the Broncos. Owen Caron kicked in 15 points and Adam Russell had 10 rebounds.
Ryan McLellan scored 30 points to pace the Warriors of Newport, who are coached by Jim DiFrederico.
