Outlook: The Black Bears play their third game in seven days, but were fortunate to play all three at home. The game ends a skein in which UMaine played seven of nine games at home. Maine is 6-1 at Alfond Arena. Former Greely star Ganly is a tough matchup as a tall, athletic wing player who is deadly if left alone. Look for Maine’s defenders to try to limit the amount of times he’s able to touch the ball by denying him the ball and switching on screens. Ganly is coming off a zero-point effort against Harvard earlier this week. With a win Maine sixth-man Colin Haynes will become the all-time winningest player in Black Bear men’s hoop history. Ammons has been on a tear of late and is scoring at an 18.5 clip against league foes. If the Bears can get him the ball early, the perimeter game will open up for Jackson, Dye and Dunkley.
