KITTERY – A Kittery teen-ager accused of attacking a man last month on Badgers Island was arraigned Friday in Biddeford District Court on a charge of aggravated assault.

Ryan LeBlanc, an 18-year-old student at Traip Academy, and three juveniles, also from Kittery, were charged with attacking a chef from Portsmouth, N.H., as he walked home from work Dec. 27. Two other teens fled and have not been charged yet.

Kittery Detective William Hackett said the assault reflected a “gang mentality” in which the 33-year-old victim was knocked to the ground and kicked repeatedly.
