CALAIS – The Calais Recreation Department has announced that it will be holding a statewide competition for elementary and junior high school cheerleading squads: the Maine State JHS/Elementary Cheering Competition.

The competition will be held on March 10 at the Bangor Auditorium and is being sponsored by the Bangor Wal-Mart. The deadline for registration is Feb. 16 and the registration fee is $35.
