Royals’ Alley gets 500th win Jonesport-Beals boys nip Sumner

JONESPORT – Jamie Alley banked in an Alvin Beal pass from under the basket with one second left as Jonesport-Beals gave coach Ordie Alley his 500th career win with its 55-53 schoolboy victory over Sumner Tuesday night.

D.R. Alley had a game-high 17 points for the winners and Jamie Alley had 12. Beal and Shane Alley combined for 17 more.

Mike Hardy and Ross Grammer had 16 apiece for Sumner.

Mike Hamlin pumped in a game-high 25 points, including 15 in the third period to help the Wolverines turn a four-point halftime deficit into a 10-point lead after three quarters.

Ben Jamo scored 19 points and Ryan Deschenes notched 17 more for Schenck.

James Skehan’s 23 points and Peter Bates’ 20 led Houlton. Lars O’Connell contributed 10.
