ASHLAND – Allen Milton scored nine of his 12 points in the fourth quarter as Washburn held off an Ashland rally for a 56-48 schoolboy basketball win Wednesday night.
Daren Pesut scored a game-high 14 points for the winners while Ben Umphrey and Tyler Bragg combined for 17 more.
Randall Perry’s 13 points, Geoffrey LeBlanc’s 12 and Eric Ham’s eight led Ashland, which had come within two in the final eight minutes.
