CASTINE – Mike Wilcox of Bangor scored a game-high 18 points, including three 3-pointers to lead the University of Maine-Farmington Beavers to a 75-57 win over Maine Maritime Academy on Wednesday.
Tom Nadeau and Mike Fullerton added 14 each for the winners. Fullerton nailed four three-pointers.
Corey Streams led the Mariners with 16 points. Matt Clement added 15 and Pete Pitula notched 10.

At Waterville, C.J. Vose scored 26 points and Tory McPherson hit four clutch free throws in the waning moments to help overcome a 38-point performance by Thomas’ Scott Raymond and secure the win for St. Joseph’s.
Leroy Gore and McPherson had 15 points apiece for the Monks and Gore also contributed seven rebounds, four assists and two steals, all team-highs. Travis Seaver scored 13 points.
St. Joseph’s is 10-6 overall, 5-1in the Maine Athletic Conference, while Thomas fell to 4-9 (2-3 in the MAC).
Raymond also had seven rebounds and three steals for the Terriers while Matt Pitcher, Josh Grant and Jimmy Cardaci contributed 11, 10 and 9 points, respectively.
