MILLINOCKET – Kristen Bradbury and Lindsay Wyman have received the Girl Scout Silver Award, the highest award a Cadette Girl Scout can earn. The awards were presented at a ceremony held Nov. 19 at St. Andrew’s Church.

The Girl Scout Silver Award recognizes excellence in skills development, personal growth and community service. A final requirement of the Girl Scout Silver Award is the completion of a special community service project of lasting value. Bradbury and Wyman planned and conducted a summer camp for Girl Scouts in grades one through five

Bradbury and Wyman are members of Girl Scout Troop 413. Bradbury has been a Girl Scout for 10 years and has earned 47 badges and other official insignia. She also is a program aide and represented northern Penobscot County on the Girl Advisory Board of Abnaki Girl Scout Council. Wyman has been a Girl Scout for eight years and has earned 25 badges and other official insignia.

The two young women are sophomores at Stearns High School. Bradbury is the daughter of Terrylyn and Ted Bradbury. Wyman is the daughter of Karen and Jeffrey Wyman.
