Allen sparks Patriot win Dexter Tigers start fast, turn back rallies by Searsport

MILO – Jeremy Allen netted 17 points to carry Penquis to a 45-38 schoolboy basketball victory over Hermon Friday night.

Matt Heal contributed 13 points for the Patriots.

Brandon McCarthy poured in 22 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter, including 5 of 6 on 3-pointers, as Katahdin cut a 20-point deficit halfway through the final quarter down to three with 20 seconds remaining.

Brian Ripley spearheaded the Panda scoring with 24 points, Jeremy Ham also hit five 3-pointers as he contributed 20, Corbin 19, and Frank Severance 13. Ripley also grabbed 11 rebounds and Severance had six assists.
