Rep. Lundeen cleared

Shortly after the election it was widely reported that newly elected Rep. Jacqueline Lundeen was under investigation by the Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices.

First, I would like to note that this investigation was initiated because of charges made by her opponent. Secondly, I am pleased to notify you that Rep. Lundeen has been cleared in a letter from the executive director of the commission indicating that no further action is warranted regarding the expenditure of the funds provided as part of the Maine Clean Elections Act.

Now that this is behind her, House Majority Leader Pat Colwell states, “Rep. Lundeen will do a wonderful job representing the people of Aroostook County.”

Rep. Lundeen will serve on the Agriculture Committee which is her background and will benefit her constituency.
