WATERVILLE – Six players scored in double figures to lead the University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals to an 83-76 men’s basketball win over the Thomas College Terriers Saturday.
Morris Young hit five 3-pointers en route to 17 points for UMFK, Stafford Bente added 15, Matt Dadier 12, Tyrone Burns 11, and Andrew Clavette and Shaun Tomblin 10 each. Tomblin also pulled down 11 rebounds.
Scott Raymond led the Terriers with 23 points and 10 rebounds, Matt Pitcher and Jimmy Cardaci posted 19 points apiece, and Mitch Orser had 10.

UMPI men pick up two over weekend
At Presque Isle, on Saturday, Antrone Moore notched 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists to lead the University of Maine at Presque Isle over Lyndon State College, 80-63.
David Malek and Ethan Birmingham each chipped in 12 points for the Owls as Nate Jamo tallied 11 points and four assists.
Joe Layn led the Lyndon State attack with 14 points while Peter Camp tossed in 12.
On Sunday, Antrone Moore and Ethan Birmingham each poured in 25 points to aid UMPI in their second win of the weekend over Lyndon State, 103-98.
Nate Jamo chipped in with 14 points for the Owls while Frank Godley put in 11.
Jim Nelson led all scorers with 32 points for Lyndon State as Greg Rose tallied 17 points.

UMPI sweeps Lyndon
At Presque Isle, on Saturday, Rachel Underwood notched 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead the University of Maine-Presque Isle to a 62-44 win over Lyndon State College.
Stephanie Thurlow chipped in 11 points for the Owls as Rachel Larlee netted nine and Erica McGary tallied nine points and 14 rebounds.
Jen Garcia led the Lyndon State attack with 10 points and seven rebounds while both Tara Bartlett and Maggie Scott put in eight points.
On Sunday, McGary poured in 21 points to lead UMPI over Lyndon State once again, 79-69.
Larlee tossed in 20 points for the Owls while Thurlow netted 11 points.
Sara Gagnon led all scorers with 27 points for Lyndon State.
