Karen Droog

Karen Droog, a freshman on the UMaine women’s Ice Hockey team, was named the U.S .College Hockey Online Division I player of the Week. She notched a goal and an assist in a 5-4 triumph over No. 8 Northeastern on Saturday. She followed that up by scoring on a penalty shot with 11 seconds remaining to help the Bears earn a 3-3 tie with 10th-ranked Providence. Droog has 17 goals and 7 assists for a total of 24 points, leading the Black Bears.
