BANGOR – The American Red Cross immediately responded to the earthquake in India on Friday, releasing $25,000 to the Indian Red Cross to help jump-start relief operations. Representatives of the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Indian Red Cross headed to the affected area to assess the damage and humanitarian needs.
