MMA defeats Elms, Mt. Ida

CASTINE – The Maine Maritime Academy Mariners defeated Elms College Saturday 69-67 and beat Mt. Ida Sunday 68-50 in women’s basketball action.

On Saturday, Stacey Ryan netted 26 points to lead MMA over Elms College of Chicopee, Mass.

Monica Locke tallied 19 points, 10 steals, and five assists for the Mariners while Kate Lawler notched 13 points and 10 rebounds.

On Sunday, Stacey Ryan notched 25 points and 15 rebounds for MMA in a win over Mt. Ida College of Newton Centre, Mass.

Monica Locke tallied 19 points and 10 assists as Jamey Lesciewicz put in 10 points.
