SACO – The victim of a weekend mobile home fire died of smoke inhalation, authorities said.
Forty-year-old Mark Masters was pronounced dead at a hospital in Biddeford.
Firefighters found him in a living room chair inside the home, owned by his mother, at the Blue Haven Mobile Home Park.
Investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined that the fire was started Friday night on a kitchen counter from a candle.
They theorize that Masters had fallen asleep. They have classified the fire as accidental, according to Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Stephen McCausland.
