BANGOR – Jlynn Frazier hit three of her five 3-pointers in the first half as the Bangor High School Rams held off the Mount Desert Island Trojans 58-51 Wednesday night for their 11th schoolgirl basketball win.

Frazier finished with a game-high 18 points. Katherine Miller chipped in with 14 points, Terra Curtis added 13 points and Sarah Michaud had a team-high seven rebounds.

Shelley Gott led Mount Desert Island with 18 points and her sister Melissa added 13. Beth Chernosky contributed 14 points.

At Pittsfield, Amanda Leavitt pumped in a game-high 27 points as Maine Central Institute overcame 9-for-20 free throw shooting in the fourth quarter to hold off rallying Lincoln Academy and avenge a 59-47 loss on Jan. 6.

Lincoln Academy had scored 12 straight points to pull within 48-46 in the fourth quarter but MCI prevailed.

Leavitt handed out five assists while Meredith Susi chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Heather Taylor’s 18 points, Erin Stodder’s 10, including eight in the fourth quarter, and Kristen Magnussen’s nine points led Lincoln Academy.
