EAST MACHIAS – A spaghetti supper to benefit state Rep. Martha Bagley, D-Machias, and her daughters Kim and Wendy will be held Feb. 24 at the East Machias Municipal Building.

Bagley, who is in her third term in the state House of Representatives, was diagnosed with cancer late last year and recently returned home from Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The 5 p.m. supper is being sponsored by U.S. Rep. John Baldacci, Bagley’s colleagues on the Washington County legislative delegation and Local 2365 of the American Federation of Government Employees at the Cutler naval detachment.

Members of Local 2365 have raised more than $900 to help defray the costs of Bagley’s daughters staying with their mother in Bangor during her treatment.

Tickets to the supper are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12. For advance tickets, call Elmer Harmon, Local 2365 president, at 259-8329.
