Kesel, Morrison power Dragons past Blue Devils Van Buren girls remain undefeated

WOODLAND – John Kesel scored the first eight points of the third quarter while Frankie Morrison netted the next 10 as the Class D Woodland boys basketball team earned an 82-69 victory over Class C Calais Monday in high school action.

Kesel scored a total of 31 points and tallied eight assists while Morrison totaled 20 for the Dragons. Bob Ferry chipped in with 14 points and nine assists.

Andy Frost had 24 points for Calais, including 20 in the fourth quarter.
