Meg Cressler

Meg Cressler of the University of Southern Maine has been selected as the Little East Conference rookie of the week. Cressler, a freshman guard, shot 65 percent from the floor while averaging 14 points and four rebounds per game.

Heather Ernest

Heather Ernest of the University of Maine has been named the America East Spalding rookie of the week. Ernest logged her 14th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds against Hartford, and averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds for the week while shooting 57.9 percent from the floor.

Betsy Pratt

Betsy Pratt, a junior forward on the Thomas College women’s basketball team, has been chosen as the Hammond Lumber player of the week. Pratt averaged 15 points per game and registered her first double-double in a win over UM-Farmington.

Betsy Elmer

Betsy Elmer of the University of Maine at Machias has been selected as one of the Hammond Lumber rookies of the week as well as the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. Elmer scored 32 points in a game against UM-Presque Isle.

Gill Guest

Gill Guest, a freshman at UM-Machias has been selected as one of the Hammond Lumber rookies of the week as well as the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookie of the week. Guest had 20 points and 27 rebounds in a game against UM-Presque Isle.

Tom Nadeau

Tom Nadeau of the University of Maine at Farmington men’s basketball team has been named the Webber Energy player of the week. Nadeau, a guard, averaged 21.3 points per game in a 2-1 week.

Dan Orcutt

Dan Orcutt, a freshman at UM-Farmington has been chosen as the Webber Energy rookie of the week. Orcutt averaged 10 points per game ina 2-1 week.

Kara Crockett

Kara Crockett, a sophomore forward at the University of Southern Maine has been named one of the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association players of the week. Crockett, averaged 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds for the week, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds in a win over St. Joseph’s.

Stacey Ryan

Stacey Ryan of Maine Maritime Academy has been selected as on of the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association players of the week. Ryan, a senior forward, averaged 19 points 15.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a 2-0 week, scoring her 1,000th point in a victory over Lesley.

Lauren Dubois

Lauren Dubois, a freshman forward at Bates, has been chosen as one of the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association rookies of the week. Dubois averaged 16.3 points per game in a 2-1 week while shooting 68 percent from the floor and 56 percent from beyond the arc.
