CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloaf/USA received its biggest storm of the season, dumping between 26 and 30 inches of snow in just over a 12-hour period.
The snowstorm came during a busy week at Sugarloaf, which is hosting two major events: the North American Masters Cross-Country Ski Championship and The World Cup Telemark event. All events are continuing as planned, although fireworks and a parade scheduled for Monday were moved to Wednesday as a result of the storm.
