Bangor gallery plans artist reception

A reception for the artists participating in the “Courting Spring” exhibit will be held 5-7:30 p.m. Friday at … by Design, the gallery at 20 Harlow St., Bangor.

Participants are:

. Annaliese Hood, a writer and visual artist.

. Christina Rioux, a sculptor who crafts birds by welding half-inch steel rod.

. Aquelidio Rodriques, a photographer displaying images of Portugal, Italy, England, Malta, Germany, Russia, Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Canada and the United States.

Regular hours for the gallery are 10-4 Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday by appointment.

Judith Ferris is curator of the exhibit, which will run through May 8.
