BANGOR – Robert Pilsbury scored 23 points to carry Husson past the University of Maine-Machias 96-66 in a men’s basketball game at Newman Gym Monday night.

Quinson Lancaster followed up with 14 points, Matt Breen recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Ryan Rivera and Randy Fletcher netted 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Albert Whittaker led UM-Machias with 20 points. Josh Thornton added 14 points to the Clippers’ total.

At Bangor, Betsy Elmer came out in full force to score 28 points and carry the University of Maine-Machias to victory over Husson.

Angela Robb, who netted 20 points for the Clippers, and Gillian Guest, who recorded 17 points and eight rebounds, backed up Elmer’s efforts.

Brewer natives Liz Boone and Leslie Trott led the Braves with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Trott also had nine rebounds.
