EM Tech posts playoff win Nick Wiberg paces Golden Eagles with 18 points, 16 rebounds

BANGOR – Nick Wiberg scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds Tuesday night to pace Eastern Maine Technical College to a 79-56 men’s basketball victory over Unity in a Yankee Conference playoff game at Johnston Gym.

James Osborne netted 17 points and recorded 11 assists for the Golden Eagles. Mike Dow chipped in with 12 points.

For Unity, Aubrey Belanger scored 17 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and had 10 assists while John Lynch added 15 points and Jason Simino had 11.

Greg Orlicz paced Bowdoin with 23 points, while Danny Ginn and Erich Buschmann scored 10 each.

Tom Nadeau’s 13 points led UMaine-Farmington. Mike Fullerton chipped in with 11.

For the Panthers, Tony Martinez led the way with 20 points. Jason Blackburn scored 16, Kenny Stewart had 13, and Frankie Finklea added 12.

Becky Roak led the UMF Beavers with 19 points and Jocelyn Sawyer scored 13.
