Reagan’s dignity, class

May I please be allowed to say a few words about Ronald Reagan as he enters his 90th year. I just don’t feel enough was said in the media.

Forget Reaganomics, what I remember most is the dignity and class he brought to the White House. Most notably, how he put a stop to the yelling frenzy of the reporters during his press conferences. Just like an old teacher, he made them all be quiet and just raise their hand to be noticed and then Reagan would pick and choose.

Another fact not mentioned is that Reagan served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He didn’t see any action, but made many training films and documentaries for the service.

I can think of no president in the past and probably won’t be any in the future who could speak, act and rule with such honesty and compassion. Just listening to Mrs. Reagan sums it all up.
