McGary sparks Owls

CASTINE – Erica McGary’s game-high 18 points led the University of Maine-Presque Isle to a 58-36 women’s basketball victory over Maine Maritime Thursday night.

Rachel Underwood chipped in with 12 points for the winners. Megan Amero added 10.

Senior Monica Locke of the Mariners notched her 1,000th career point, totaling nine in the game. Janey Lesiewicz led the Mariners with 11 points.
