BANGOR – Nat Breece scored two goals to lead the Orono Red Riots to a 5-1 high school hockey victory over the Presque Isle Wildcats Saturday at Sawyer Arena.
The Red Riots finished the regular season with a perfect 20-0 record.
Jake Hedstrom added a goal and two assists while Will Toner had a goal and an assist and Mike Merritt contributed with a goal. Pat Skall recorded two assists while Ian Ferguson had one. Casey Hale made 22 saves on 23 shots for Orono.
Andy Beaulieu scored Presque Isle’s goal with the assist going to Darren Carlisle. Joe Grenier faced 25 shots and stopped 20 for the 12-8 Wildcats.
Bangor 6, Brewer 3
At Sawyer Arena, Bangor, Justin Libbey scored four goals, leading the 14-6 Rams to victory over Brewer in both teams’ final regular-season game.
Bobby Leavitt scored a goal and had two assists while Kyle Baker added a goal. John Huhn recorded three assists while Justin Climo and Chris Zielinski combined for 16 saves on 19 shots.
A.J. Hayes, Robbie Hayes and Jeremiah Richter each scored goals for Brewer while Justin Boober and Rob Elliot combined to stop 33 of 39 shots for the 11-9 Witches.

At Caribou, James Sam recorded a double-double, pouring in 35 points and grabbing 13 rebounds Saturday to lead the Caribou Vikings to a Class A victory over Nokomis of Newport.
Joel Griffeth, who was 12-for-12 from the foul line for the game, including 10 of 10 in the fourth quarter, had 20 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. Josh Cyr tallied 15 points while Matt Nason added nine rebounds.
Ryan McLellan led the Warriors of Newport with 22 points. Trenton Estes put in 18.
