PRESQUE ISLE – Farmers who suffered weather-related crop losses exceeding 35 percent of expected production can now apply for financial assistance under the Crop Disaster Program administered by the Aroostook County Farm Service Agency. This aid is intended to replace part of the income lost from crops damaged by last year’s abnormal weather.

CDP sign-up began Jan. 18. An ending date will be announced as soon as the new regulation is published in the Federal Register.
